This sword is a reference to the Kurikaru also known as the Kouma Sword (Kōmaken) used by Rin Okumaura in the anime and manga The Blue Exorcist.
Kurikara in anime/manga
Kurikaru was created by Mephisto Pheles as a unique Maken. (Makens are melee weapons endowed with demonic power. Once the wielder forms a pact with the weapon, they can use it to fight demons). Katana Kurikara has the ability to seal demons within. Exorcist Shiro Fujimoto used a sword to seal half-demon Rin Okumaura's demonic heart.
