The Camillus CHUNK™ is one of our tougher folding knives, with a GFN handle and a 420 steel blade. 420 steel has good edge retention capabilities and is quite easy to re-sharpen. Furthermore, this steel strikes a good balance between blade hardness and corrosion resistance. To further enhance the steel's basic strength, it undergoes a titanium bonding process that adds extra rust and corrosion resistance and makes the blade up to 3 times harder than untreated steel. The bonding process also results in exceptional edge retention properties, so your blade can stay sharp through countless cuts. The glass-filled nylon handle is also among our strongest and toughest, thanks to the addition of glass-filled materials to our proprietary blend of polypropylene, ABS, and other substrates.
