Golden Autumn Katana John Lee

This is one of the best premium katanas from the John Lee workshop.
Golden Autumn Katana The blade is made of 12x (about 8000 layers) folded carbon steel, differentially hardened with a clay coating of 60 HRC on the blade and about 40 HRC on the back of the blade. The blade is made in the Kobuse style (softer carbon steel and harder high carbon steel). Masterful polishing work, It has a Damascus structure and a hamon line of heat treatment.

All the ornaments (Tsuba, Menuki, Fuchi and Kashira) are handmade and set in a simple autumn scene that captures the beauty of the moment. These simple yet elegant ornaments are in the style of the Edo era (1603 - 1868).

The handle is wrapped in black silk, covered with real stingray skin. Two conical mekugi (bamboo sticks) connect the long held part and the handle of the sword.
The black, high-gloss lacquered cover has a rye leather insert. In addition to the high-quality sageo material, the cover impresses with finishes (koiguchi, kurigata, Kojiri) made of buffalo horn.
The delivery includes an attractive collector's box made of wood, a seal and a certificate.
