Mizutori® (CRANE) Wakizashi
The crane is a symbol of good fortune and longevity, loyalty and strength, and is a much-loved symbol in Japan. When developing a new Katana to add to their long-established and world-renowned line of Japanese blades, Cold Steel® felt it was appropriate to add the crane as a motif.
The Mizutori® (Crane) Wakizashi is a high-performance, top-of-the-line blade inspired by older, practical battlefield katanas. The Mizutori® blade is made from high-quality 1095 high-carbon steel and clay-tempered with a Hamon. The handsome blade features a hand-sharpened Hamaguri grind with a highly polished spine. Both the Tsuba and Menuki feature the iconic crane motif, and the high-quality ray skin handle is tightly wrapped with brown silk cord, adding a level of detail and beauty you have to see to believe.
The blade is housed in a glossy black lacquered Saya,
