Sting from The Hobbit: The Magic Sword comes from the legendary city of Gondolin. Bilbo found the sword during his journey with the dwarves in the troll caves of Rhudaur - just as Thorin came across his sword Orcrist. Sting, more of a dagger than a sword, is the perfect size for a hobbit and saved his life in Mirkwood in a fight against giant spiders. Eighty years later, Bilbo bequeathed the short sword to his nephew Frodo - but that's another story...
