Description

Museum Replica Aislinn Knight 's Sword with Scabbard, 15th Century This beautiful knight's sword is a replica made from the original sword kept at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The sword was named "Aislinn", which is Irish for vision or dream, after its former keeper. Oakeshott classified the sword as Type XV and dated it to the 15th century.

This replica has a double-edged blade that tapers sharply towards the tip. The groove extends about a third of its length, and the blades are unsharpened. The handle is made of two black horn scales attached to a solid point. The crossguard, which curves towards the blade, and the wheel hilt are made of bronze.

This sword comes with a brown wood and leather scabbard with a black leather pommel and neck, and a sword belt made of sturdy black leather. The pommel and belt buckle are made of brass and are decorated with a dragon and lion motif on a red background.

This medieval sword is designed as a collectible or decorative/display piece and, in addition to being a collectible, it is also perfectly suited as a prop, eg to complete your costume.
