Description

Italo-Corinthian helmet with feathers, black, decorated

Corinthian was created in the 7th century before Chr. and is a typical image of a Greek helmet to this day. Her origin is in the city of Corinth. It soon became a permanent part of the Greek hoplite armor and its use spread all the way to Italy, where, with several modifications, it became one of the more popular helmets for the troops of the Roman Republic.

The replica of the Italo-Corinthian helmet is made of black steel and has the typical shape of this helmet, consisting of a long front end, a nose guard and a bent neck guard.
It is richly decorated: on the sides are mythical creatures (looking like a mixture of a horse and a snake) and a portrait of a woman's head on the forehead, made of brass.
It contains a large natural-colored plume that is attached to the helmet with metal plates. Also includes a padded cap.
