Knight helmet Bascinet Houndskull

Bascinet Houndskull Knight's Helmet - The helmet in the shape of a dog's skull is a variation of the late medieval bascinet helmet. The dog's skull was a favorite among knights and warriors until about 1420. The characteristic design of the visor gave this helmet its name and led to its widespread use throughout Central Europe.

Our version is based on a Milanese helmet from around 1390. It is made of riveted armor steel with brass trim. It has a removable hinged visor as well as a comfortable leather insert with a chin strap.
