In the Germanic epic poem The Nibelungenlied, Balmung is the legendary sword of the hero Siegfried. It was with this sword that Siegfried achieved his greatest feats - the most significant of which was the slaying of the fearsome dragon Fafnir. Bathing in the dragon's blood then gave him almost complete invulnerability. The sword was not only the instrument of his victory, but also a symbol of his power and the key to the cursed treasure of the Nibelungs. This replica of the Gladius is a beautiful tribute to this immortal story of heroism, love and betrayal.

This two-handed sword is the embodiment of epic fantasy. The most striking feature is undoubtedly the guard in the shape of a two-headed dragon, whose silver-scaled bodies wrap around the hilt. Golden dragon heads, with ruby-red eyes, form the ends of the fins. In the center of the guard is a medallion with a relief of a mythical winged horse on a blue field, the impressive wheel apple bears the motif of a golden phoenix or dragon. The wide stainless steel blade is decorated with intricate engravings. Note: These swords are suitable for costume, decoration and collection purposes only. They are not intended for cutting or striking other objects.
