Description

Shikoto Hammer-Forged Longquan Master Nodachi
When you hold the Shikoto Hammer-Ished Longquan Master Sword in your hand, you are holding the same weapon that the warrior used more than 2,500 years ago. Using methods used by Bronze Age swordsmiths, the high carbon 1060 steel blade is hammer-forged and tempered in clay to produce a visible hamon line. Differential tempering gives this magnificent sword a harder edge and softer spine, the hallmark of a high-quality weapon. The tsuba and handle fittings are made of solid brass, and the wooden handle has a traditional rope wrap over genuine tea-stained leather.

The blade is housed in a black lacquered and polished wooden scabbard. Included with the Shikoto Longquan Master Nodachi is a certificate of authenticity with forging specifications, signed by the master swordsmith who made the blade.
