Christopher Columbus Sword

The sword of Christopher Columbus was made at the world-famous Gladius sword factory in Toledo, Spain. Toledo has a reputation for producing some of the finest swords in Europe and has been a center of swordmaking for centuries. The hilt features the coats of arms of Castile and León. These heraldic symbols also appear on Columbus's coat of arms. The name of the famous explorer is emblazoned across an antique brass guard, with the words separated by a Catholic cross.
