It is one of the most spectacular swords in Spanish history. This decorative replica is based on the sword of Charles V, the most powerful ruler in the first half of the 16th century (1500–1558), also known as Charles I of Spain (Spanish: Carlos I), was Duke of Burgundy and Holy Roman Emperor. He was ruler of both the Spanish Empire from 1516 and the Holy Roman Empire from 1519, as well as the Netherlands from 1506, until he voluntarily abdicated from these and other positions in a series of abdications between 1554 and 1556. By inheritance, he brought under his rule extensive territories in Western, Central and Southern Europe and Spain. colonies in the Americas and Asia. As a result, his territories extended to almost four million square kilometers and were the first to be described as the empire on which the sun never sets. It is one of the most spectacular swords in Spanish history.
