Crusader sword with scabbard, functional, blunt (not sharpened)

Reproduction of a high medieval one-handed sword with the characteristic apple in the shape of a disc. This type of sword was already used by the Normans and became established soon after during the Holy Crusades.

This sword is exclusively handmade. The guard and apple are forged from heat-treated tempered cast iron. The spring steel blade is oil hardened to 48-50° Rockwell and hand riveted to the apple. The handle is with a leather strap. The blade has a characteristic extension that offers great flexibility and less weight. The edges of the blade are blunt and the tip is rounded for safety. The beautiful original-looking wooden scabbard is covered with leather and has a wooden belt loop (max. belt width 5 cm).
