Excalibur sword Marto

The history and legend of King Arthur is closely related to this magical and mysterious sword. As the wizard Merlin declared, only he who can pull the sword from the stone will be king. Arthur knelt before the stone, fulfilled this deed, took the sword, went with it to the cathedral and offered it on the altar. He was anointed with holy oil and, in the presence of all the barons and common people, solemnly swore that he would be an honest king and defend Truth and Justice all the days of his life. Legend and history have intermingled throughout time, with the legend of King Arthur, the Knights of the Round Table and the magical sword Excalibur intertwined along the way.
